Volunteering
At Redwood Park Academy we value the contribution made by volunteers and students on work placements. We think our academy is a wonderful place to work and so we welcome applications from members of the community to come and join us!
To apply for a volunteering or work experience placement at our academy you must complete and return an application form which you can download from this site.
All applicants will be asked to attend a meeting where they will tour the school and have the opportunity to meet some of our pupils and staff to ensure that we are the right match for each other.
DBS checks are carried out on all volunteers and also for students on extended work placements. Students on shorter placements are expected to produce a current DBS certificate.

A little about myself
I have been in the education system for almost 20 years, and in Special Ed for 15 of them. I originally trained asĀ PE teacher at Chichester University and while there fell in love with Outdoor Education. I have taught in a number of SEND schools working across the age and ability range of pupils in Hampshire, Portsmouth and West Sussex.
Hobbies and Interests
In my leisure time I can be found either looking after my two young children or away doing something of an adventurous nature. This could be climbing a mountain, paddling a kayak down a white water river, sailing or cycling my road or mountain bike somewhere fun.
What excites me about my role
The thing that excites me most about my role at Redwood is seeing on a daily basis pupils achieve something new.
