Mountbatten Class Poppy Visit
The pupils from Mountbatten Class went to visit St Michaels and All Angels Church in Chalton on the 10th November 2021.
At the church there were cascades of red poppies that had been created by locals to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Poppy appeal.
The pupils walked around the church yard admiring the displays.
Inside the church they were warmly welcomed by a team of volunteers who showed them around the other displays and explained to them all about the Poppy appeals history.
The pupils were very interested in the Purple Poppies which had been created to specifically remember the fallen animals in the world wars.
