Welcome to Gunwharf Class one of our Key Stage 3 classes here at Redwood Park Academy.

Gunwharf have had a fantastic start to the year as we launched into our exciting topic, Time Traveller. Through our project work, the children explored both the Anglo-Saxons and the Victorians, creating an impressive range of items including shields, traditional foods, salt dough artefacts and classic toys.

In English, we have been diving into the wonderful world of Julia Donaldson, enjoying favourites such as Room on the Broom and The Gruffalo. The pupils have worked especially hard on identifying nouns and have made brilliant progress.

It has certainly been a busy half term! We marked Anti-Bullying Week, paid our respects on Remembrance Day, and had great fun supporting Children in Need—especially when everyone came to school in their pyjamas! Gunwharf have also loved the relaunch of Friday Favourites, where pupils chose their own clubs, including STEM Building, Self Care Club and Disco Dancing.
